About

Mission

Help LDS singles in the Millcreek/Holladay area become more informed voters by providing important information, an open forum for political discussion, and an opportunity to meet candidates.

What is it?

Pizza and Politics is a weekly discussion group that helps you get the facts about the most important political issues of our day and discuss them in a non-partisan, open environment.  Discussion leaders will present facts and seek to facilitate interesting, meaningful, respectful conversation.  People of any political persuasion or knowledge level are encouraged to attend, but discussion will be geared toward those with a basic knowledge level.

Format

Depending on the week, we will either have a discussion on a particular topic or meet candidates or both.  Discussion leaders will present ideas, ask questions, and open the floor for discussion.  When candidates come, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about them and their views and ask them questions.  Please thank them for coming and treat them with respect.

Please take a look at the schedule and come ready to learn and participate. You can also make comments or ask questions on each topic page before  our meeting each week.

Discussion leaders

We will have many different discussion leaders who are experts on specific topics.  They will have various backgrounds and will be able to lead the discussion from an informed point of view.  I hope you will welcome them and thank them for taking the time to be with us.

Disclaimer

Nothing on this website or presented in the discussion group shall be construed as representing or having any affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any other organization unless explicitly stated.
